Kalli Axford

Board Member

Kalli Axford is a passionate environmentalist with a diverse background in non-profits, outdoor adventures, education, and volunteering. She is a dedicated and involved member of Pocatello and Southeastern Idaho, where she lives with her husband and two school-aged children. Born and raised in the flat lands of Iowa, she spent spring breaks and summers traveling multiple days to enjoy the mountains and now has them right at her doorstep, which she loves!

Kalli has a degree in Outdoor Education from Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. This environmental liberal arts college along the southern shores of Lake Superior gave her the hope and determination to make the world a better place, no matter the scale.

She’s an Idaho Master Naturalist and continues to volunteer with the High Desert chapter. For over 5 years Kalli taught Tinkergarten classes to children and their grown-ups at Edson Fichter Nature Area. Currently Kalli is a substitute teacher in Pocatello which gives her the flexibility and time for her most favorite job in the whole world, being the main caregiver for her children. This also lends well to being available for an abundance of outdoor adventures with her family.
