Jeff Abrams
Wildlife Program Associate
Jeff comes to ICL with two decades of fisheries research, resource management, community relations, nonprofit and grassroots organizing, and relationship building – and a lifetime of passion for wild places and the creatures that inhabit them. As ICL’s Wildlife Program Associate, Jeff is now focused on building our first strategic program focusing on imperiled wildlife populations, raising awareness about landscape-level threats to Idaho’s wild creatures and advocating for overdue mechanisms to proactively conserve these at-risk species.
Jeff has lived in Idaho since 1994, initially working as a biologist in hatchery evaluations for IDFG. He later went on to found and manage KRBX/Radio Boise, in part to foster important discussions about challenging issues facing Idaho requiring collaboration, new ways of thinking, and respectful dialogue. As a resident of McCall, Jeff splits time between ICL’s offices in Boise and McCall and works with stakeholders statewide.
