Lexi Black
Central Idaho Community Engagement Specialist
Lexi Black grew up in the foothills of the Pioneer Mountains in Sun Valley, Idaho. Her childhood home sat just beyond the edge of Sawtooth National Forest; she spent her time wandering old mining roads, taking cement casts of wolf prints, occasionally rescuing the house cat from owls, and staring at the stars. Her first advocacy work on behalf of Idaho’s wilderness began at age six with the inauguration of her very own “Nature Club.”
Lexi graduated from Hamilton College with a degree in World Politics & Latin American Studies in December 2020. Prior to joining ICL’s team, Lexi worked in administration and communications at 13D Research & Strategy, where she engaged with global leaders and top market strategists. However, she has long maintained that her ideal career falls at the natural intersection of political advocacy, communications, environmental justice, and conservation. As ICL’s Central Idaho Community Engagement Specialist, Lexi is pursuing a career that reflects exactly that — better still, on behalf of a state she loves.
