Rachel grew up hiking, fishing, and recreating on Idaho’s public lands. She received her B.S. and M.S. from Idaho State University in Ecology and Conservation Biology. While in college, Rachel worked summers for the US Forest Service on the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Salmon-Challis national forest.
As a fly fisherwoman, high mountain lake enthusiast, backpacker, and novice rock-climber, Rachel is passionate about advocating for Idaho’s natural resources and public lands.
